NETinfo, in collaboration with its partners Ozone API, Flametree and Foresight TLC, successfully hosted an exclusive industry event titled “Redefining Banking through Digital, Open, and AI Innovation” on the 5th of March at the Hyatt Regency Nairobi Westlands.
The event brought together banking professionals leading the digital transformation of financial institutions across the region to explore how digital banking platforms, open finance and artificial intelligence are shaping the future of financial services.
The agenda featured a series of presentations focusing on key developments and opportunities in the sector. NETinfo’s Chief Sales Officer, Polys Hadjikyriacos, opened the event with a presentation on “The Evolution of Digital Banking in East Africa,” providing an overview of the region’s digital transformation and highlighting the trends influencing the future of financial institutions.
Ozone API delivered an online presentation titled “Unlocking the Power of Open Finance in Kenya,” outlining how financial institutions can move from compliance to competitive advantage by adopting a robust open finance foundation that can be deployed rapidly.
Artificial intelligence in banking was another key topic of discussion. Oleg Baranov, Founder and CEO of Flametree.ai, presented “Customer Service in Natural Language,” demonstrating how the emergence of large language models (LLMs) enables banks to enhance service quality while reducing customer support costs through the use of AI agents.
The event also featured NETinfo’s Africa Success Stories, presented by Harris Marcou, Head of Sales at NETinfo. The session highlighted successful implementations of NETinfo’s digital banking platform in the region, accompanied by client testimonials that showcased the impact of these collaborations.
The presentations were complemented by interactive Q&A sessions, allowing participants to engage directly with the speakers and exchange perspectives on digital transformation, open finance and the growing role of AI in banking.
